The Memory Club can help you learn new
practical techniques to sharpen your memory skills and
maintain your ability to live an active, independent life in
the community. It also provides an opportunity to make new
friends and to have fun. The Club meets twice a week in
four-hour sessions at JVS in Southfield.

For indigent Jewish residents of Wayne
County who are mentally ill and isolated from the community,
Project Outreach provides a social worker and a corps of volunteers
who provide advocacy services, help alleviate loneliness,
and plan social & cultural programming. Jewish organizations
throughout the community host monthly programs for these individuals.

This non-sectarian, accredited therapeutic
work program offers remunerative work activities, an age-appropriate
exercise program, kosher lunch, medical monitoring, socialization
and case coordination services. Participants receive personal

This program matches older adults with
volunteer jobs in the non-profit sector. Participants perform
a valuable community service while maintaining a sense of
personal worth. The program provides transportation, special
events, group socialization and advocacy and referral services.
