ANNOUNCEMENT OF STAFF OPENING FOR Case Manager |
HR Solutions Group, a subsidiary of JVS announces a staff opening for a full-time (40 hours per week) Case Manager for Detroit Recovery Project located in Detroit.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of college in human service, psychology, social work, special education, or related field required. At least one year related experience working with individuals with a substance abuse and/or mental health disorder. In-depth knowledge of community resources. Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with clients, public and staff. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. |
Liaison between the Detroit Recovery Project, Detroit Wayne County Community Mental Health, Wayne State University PACT program and the Wayne County Jail.

2. |
Coordinate vocational services for clients of the Detroit Recovery Project. |
3. |
Provide client support through DRP programming. |
4. |
Responsible for managing opposition and confrontation by defusing volatile (or possible volatile) situations. |
5. |
Share resources from the social service network with individuals seeking assistance, such as housing, employment or legal services. |

Complete government survey and interviews when applicable. |
| 7. |
Responsible for member intakes and case management. |
| 8. | Complete reports as required by the Program Coordinator. |
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must have reliable transportation as work involves the ability to travel throughout Wayne County. |
| 2. | Position involves the ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, and early morning. |
SALARY AND RELATED:
Salary is in the upper 20K’s and is based on experience and training. Benefits package is available after 90 days of employment.
