ANNOUNCEMENT OF STAFF OPENING

FOR

ENCLAVE DEVELOPER

JVS announces a staff opening for a full time (40 hours per week) Enclave Developer in its Supported Employment located in Detroit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, human resource development, or related field preferred. Two to four years experience in sales, job placement/job development and/or enclave development preferred. One year experience with placing individuals with multiple barriers preferred. Fluency in American Sign Language preferred. Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with participants, employers, public and staff. Composition skills sufficient to prepare required reports. Driving record must meet safe driving standards as established by Agency insurance company. Valid Michigan driver's license.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1.

Utilize placement and job development techniques to develop supported employment work sites, including assessing work sites utilizing appropriate forms and procedures, job restructuring and adaptive devices. Develop employment opportunities consistent with participants’ interest and abilities.

2.

Prepare bids for employers interested in enclave opportunities including obtaining needed site specifications, measurements and where applicable performing the duties to be done to complete bids. Explore Federal (NISH) and State set aside opportunities and market services to the designated contracting officers.

3.

Monitor and review contracts at least annually to ensure that costs are adjusted in a timely manner reflective of increased expenses. 

4.

Complete employer logs, placement reports, tax credit forms, statistical, billing and other documentation as required. Assist in maintaining participant master file and ensure timely compliance by generating ongoing documents on participant's progress in accordance with all applicable regulations for governing accreditation and funding bodies.

5.

Establish and maintain cooperative and outcome-oriented relationships with staff from all program components, outside professionals, employers and other agencies. Promote Agency's placement services to co-workers and employers.

6.

Transport participant using Agency van or own vehicle, and/or coordinate transportation arrangements for participants as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1.

Work involves the ability to work flexible hours in community and facility settings, as well as traveling to local sites.

2. Work involves physical activity sufficient to complete site specifications and bids across a variety of work settings.

SALARY AND RELATED:

Salary is based on experience and training. Benefits include a Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO or HMO for individual coverage. Family coverage is available under a premium-sharing plan. Option is available to substitute $1,560 per year in lieu of health insurance. Other benefits include vacation, sick leave, life insurance, long-term disability, and retirement when eligibility requirements are met.
