A state-of-the-art program for individuals
with Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia, the
program is open to persons of all ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Activities include music therapy, baking, exercise, gardening,
and a wide range of community outings. The Program also provides
respite to the participants' caregivers, and support groups
assist caregivers with the resources and ability to keep their

Our staff specializes in working with older
adults with dementia disorders. The team consists of a masters-level
social worker, activity and music therapists, registered dietitian,
program assistants and registered nurse supported by consultants
in medicine, psychiatry, psychology, podiatry and other professional
fields. The staff creates a warm, caring environment in which
each participant is treated with compassion. Individualized
attention is ensured by a high staff-to-participant ratio.

The program is open Monday through Friday. Regular
program hours are 8:30 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. Early or late hours
are available. Schedules can be individualized.
The 2nd Tuesday of each month at JVS, at 1:30 p.m.
The 3rd Tuesday of each month at JVS, at 5:30 p.m.
The 3rd Monday of each month at Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit,
at 7:00 p.m. - (Please phone first to verify day and time.)
